Patrick is a local to Bristol, Tn/Va and has been fly fishing since he was 10 years old. Fly fishing was more than hobby early on in his childhood. Patrick was backwards while growing up when it came to fishing. He often tells stories of his buddies using Mickey Mouse rods while he stuck out like a sore thumb using a fly rod. When you want to find Patrick, look no further than the South Holston River. A normal year for Fulkrod includes 200+ days on the water. He brings a lineup of credentials and accomplishments to his resume including: national recognition as a the 2014 Orvis Endorsed Guide of the Year. Patrick was also recognized as 2012, 2013, 2015 Orvis-Endorsed Guide of the Year Finalist, Graduate of the Western Rivers Professional Guide School (2007), Orvis-Endorsed Fly-Fishing Guide since 2007, and a Clackacraft Drift Boats Pro Staff Member.
Fulkrod’s poison of choice while fly fishing is fishing with small flies. A big brown trout over 20 inches on a size 20 fly is not uncommon in his drift boat. Other than fly fishing, he enjoys taking photos, and tying flies, and being a complete gear head.
